Background: Childhood trauma is a major risk factor for the development of affective disorders later in life. We sought to determine whether this risk is linked to neurostructural changes in limbic brain regions after childhood trauma. Methods: We recruited 49 medically healthy adult women (28.297.1 years of age) from the Atlanta area to include women with/without childhood trauma and with/with...
متن کاملCLEO-c Hot Topics
Selected recent results and future prospects for the CLEO-c experiment at CESR are reviewed. The topics covered include measurements of leptonic and semileptonic charm decays made with data collected at the ψ(3770) resonance and results from a scan of the center-of-mass energy range from 3970 to 4260 MeV addressing the details of open-charm production and properties of the Y (4260) state observ...

A search for a two-body transition Υ (3S) → γA0, where A0 is a light scalar particle, followed by its decay into 2 muons has been performed using a data sample of (121 ± 1.2) × 106 Υ (3S) decays. As ΓΥ (4S)/ΓΥ (3S) ≈ 10 3, one has greater sensitivity to rare decays using Υ (3S) decays than Υ (4S) samples. The Standard Model (SM) predicts the existence of the Higgs boson to account for the diffe...
متن کاملCdf Hot Topics
We present recent CDF results based on approximately 1 fb −1 of p¯ p collisions at √ s = 1.96 TeV delivered at Fermilab Tevatron. Results shown include the observation of the Bs oscillation frequency, the first observation of bottom baryon Σ (*)± b states, updates on B hadrons lifetimes, and searches for rare decays in the b → sµ + µ − transition and in charmless two-body B decays.
